With its 30-inch scale length, this Mustang Bass from Fender's American Performer series closely matches Leo Fender's original design and then adds a little more! In addition to the classic split-coil pickup in the mid position, for instance, it also has a Jazz Bass single-coil pickup at the bridge. Both pickups come from Fender's newly-developed Yosemite series and feature flat staggered poles and a shellac coating. That means they deliver a higher output and prevent problems with feedback. Two volume controls allow you to mix the sound to perfection and the Tone potentiometer has a Greasebucket Tone circuit that gives you more control over the higher frequencies as well as keeping the lower ones in check.
